Flappy Bird returns in August with multiplayer mode!

You probably remember the panic caused last February by the incredibly addictive Flappy Bird, which caused its creator to pull it from the app stores. Instead, about 60 clones sprouted daily, however, none could replicate the success of the original.

In an unsuspecting moment, Dong Nguyen had stated that he will re-release Flappy Bird with several improvements and just yesterday a CNBC journalist claimed in a tweet that the "big" return will take place in August, with the new version including a multiplayer mode.

So far, however, there is no official statement from Nguyen or his company (.Gears Studio).
