Apple presented the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro / Max , confirming almost all the leaks of the last months.
With a new design on the back (the front remains practically unchanged, with the notch dominating the screen) the cameras are the main element that differentiates the new models from their predecessors, forming the spearhead of the iPhone series' promotion trident 11: Photo - Video - Renderings .
iPhone 11 - Features
The successor to the successful iPhone XR comes with a slightly reduced price (!) to $699 from €749. It incorporates the new A13 Bionic processor which performs up to 1 trillion. actions per second and has 2 rear cameras of 12MPx. One with a wide-angle lens (ƒ/1.8 with Optical image stabilization) and one with an ultra-wide-angle lens (ƒ/2.4) which offer 2x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom. A great addition is the new night mode, which - finally - makes it possible to photograph in low-light conditions, an area where the iPhone noticeably lagged behind the competition.
We also have an upgrade in the front 12MPx (ƒ/2.2) camera of the iPhone 11 which now records 4K video at 60 fps (Cinematic video stabilization) while also supporting the new generation Smart HDR for photos. In addition, we have the possibility of slow-motion selfies (slofies) at 1080p/120 fps and optimized FaceID.
In addition to photography, we also expect excellent performance in video recording with Apple promising a new filming experience the likes of which we have never seen on a mobile phone! 4K video at 60 fps (Extended dynamic range) with 2x optical zoom and 3x digital zoom and Audio zoom support!
The Liquid Retina LCD screen on the iPhone 11 is 6.1” with exactly the same features as the iPhone XR: Resolution 1792 x 828 pixels (326 ppi) with a 1400:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 625 nits.
Aluminum has been used around the perimeter of the device, while the glass back and the screen have undergone additional processing to strengthen them even more. So is the waterproofing of the iPhone 11 which has been optimized (up to 2 meters of submersion for 30 minutes) compared to the iPhone XR and is now categorized as IP68.
The individual features and technologies supported by the iPhone 11 are worth mentioning:

The iPhone 11 is available in 64GB ($699), 128GB ($749) and 256GB ($849) capacities.
iPhone 11 Pro / Max
The iPhone 11 Pro is the first iPhone model that "borrows" the designation "Pro" from Apple's professional computer models in its name.
The replacement of last year's iPhone X / Max is essentially an "iPhone 11 on steroids", having undergone significant improvements in the following areas:
- Best display: Super Retina XDR OLED display resolution, 2436 x 1125 pixels (458 ppi) for the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and 2688 x 1242 pixels (458 ppi) for the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max, with 2,000,000: 1 contrast ratio and 800 nits brightness.
- Better build: Perimeter stainless steel frame.
- Better cameras: In addition to the wide-angle (ƒ/1.8) and ultra-wide-angle lens (ƒ/2.4), iPhone 11 Pro also has an additional telephoto lens (ƒ/2.0) with Dual optical image stabilization and digital zoom up to 10x.
- The iPhone 11 Pro has Dual optical image stabilization (Wide and Telephoto) compared to the iPhone 11 which has Optical image stabilization only at wide angle (Wide) and is used in both photography and video recording.
- At the same time, in the video we see increased digital zoom capabilities up to 6x.
- Increased waterproofing: IP68 (immersion at 4 meters for 30 minutes).
- Increased autonomy by 4 hours for iPhone 11 Pro compared to iPhone Xs by 5 hours for iPhone 11 Pro Max compared to iPhone Xs Max:
- Video playback: +18 hours (+20 hours for iPhone 11 Pro Max)
- Video playback (streamed): +11 hours (+12 hours for iPhone 11 Pro Max)
- Audio playback: +65 hours (+80 hours for iPhone 11 Pro Max)
- Increased capacity: iPhone 11 Pro is available in capacities of 64GB, 256GB and 512GB.
- The "fast charge" charger of 18w (50% charge in 30 minutes) is offered inside the packaging of the iPhone 11 Pro / Max.
The iPhone 11 Pro starts at $999, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at $1099 for the 64GB version and goes up to $1349 and $1449, respectively, for the larger 512GB versions.
Both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro will come with iOS 13 pre-installed - which, by the way, will be available for all users on September 19 .
When will the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Max be released?
The new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro / Max will be officially released on September 20 in 30 countries, while in Greece they will arrive on September 27 .
