Apple has rolled out one of the most important updates of late, affecting not only iPhone users, but iPad and Apple Watch users as well. Specifically, there is a vulnerability in the mobile version of Safari, which hackers are already exploiting and can manage websites through cross site scripting when you visit them. Apple released iOS 14.4.2 and iPadOS 14.4.2 , stating:
Editing of malicious web content can lead to global cross site scripting. Apple is aware of reports that this issue may now be in active exploitation.
The bug is considered so important that the updates were never tested by developers or the public and were released directly. In fact, they do not contain any upgrades and are simply limited to closing the vulnerability. But note that the problem does not affect the Mac version of Safari.
If you haven't received the update notification yet, select Settings > General > Software Update .
