Olympus is making its second foray into the wireless smartphone camera category, with the Olympus Air A01 already available in the US for $299.99 (or $499.99 with a 14-42mm EZ lens).
The new version features a 16MP sensor , TruePic VII image processor, 10fps burst mode , 81-point autofocus system and lens support base, while communicating with your smartphone (iOS or Android) via WiFi and managed by the OACentral app.
The camera can be used standalone (i.e. without being placed on the smartphone), as long as it is within the WiFi range of the smartphone. Finally, it has a microSD and microUSB slot for charging.
